How Technology Will Impact Fitness in 2023

It's a new year, which means those New Year's resolutions are in full swing. One of the most popular goals is to step into the fitness game. Whether your goal is to gain muscle, lose weight, run more, or all of the above, there are many ways you can make this resolution a success. Better yet, thanks to the ample amount of technology there is in the world, working out and meeting your fitness goals is easier than ever. And, technology keeps growing and advancing! Here's how technology is going to impact fitness in 2023, and how it's going to help you become your best self yet!

Virtual reality (VR)

When VR came into the world, it was this crazy concept of being able to throw yourself into a different world to play games or interact with others. Now that it's become increasingly popular, it has also advanced in many ways, including stepping into the fitness realm. With virtual reality workouts, you're able to throw yourself into a workout from home and feel as if you're in an actual class or gym. This is a great way to not be in a public environment, but can still be able to interact with others and make it a very engaging experience. Plus, you have a variety of workouts to choose from, ranging from strength to cardio, so you never get bored!

Wearable technology

Wearable technology is practically a new fashion statement, so it's not surprising it'll only become more popular in 2023, especially when it comes down to fitness. There are plenty of fitness trackers and smartwatches to choose from, and you can choose any that meets your needs the most. If you just want to count your steps, there's tech for that. Monitor your heart rate or track your workouts, there's tech for that too. Soon enough, you'll see more tech that will be able to do more at once, and the trend will lead to people being able to see how their body is responding to certain exercises.

Fitness apps

If you're at the gym and don't know what workouts to do, need help with proper form, or just want a workout you can do at home, a fitness app is a great guide. There are plenty of apps that you can download onto your phone. Think of them like those workout DVDs, but that you can fit into the palm of your hand and carry around with you. With an app, you're able to work out at any time that is convenient for you. Plus, the apps feature expert advice from real trainers and offer a ton of different types of workouts and workout programs that you can do to meet your fitness goals.
